To the students of NYC26 and your leaders

Thank you for coming to Utah and loving people you've never met. Thank you for walking our streets, praying over our neighborhoods, and believing that God hears every prayer.

Before you leave, I have something to share with you from the depths of my heart. During the past 18 months, we have witnessed glimpses of revival. We believe God, in His mercy, orchestrated this moment long before any of us knew it was coming. He knew that 2026 would be a significant year for Utah. He knew our communities would need your prayers. He knew that you would be willing to say, "Here I am, Lord. Send me."

Pastors across Utah pray every day, "Lord of the harvest, send workers into Your harvest field." This week, you were the answer to years of prayers.

Together you walked more than 15,000 miles through our neighborhoods. You invested more than 9,000 hours praying for people you may never meet until eternity. You carried the name of Jesus into the streets of more than 50 cities across Utah. Never underestimate what God can do when each of us does our part.

For the past 18 months, I've been praying for you. There’s a sticky note in my office to remind God to call 1000 NYC26 attendees back to Utah. God answers prayer. That's why you were here this week!

The same God who sent you to Utah is sending you home as His ambassadors.

As you return home, reflect on what God has done in your life this week.

Start a prayer-walking group in your neighborhood or gather friends to pray at your school.
Pray over your city.
Pray for your classmates.
Pray for people who don't yet know Jesus.

I believe with all my heart that for many of you, this is not the end of your story with Utah. This week was not an accident—it was an invitation. God may one day call you back to plant churches, serve communities, raise families, and help bring the hope of Christ to this state.

Keep walking as Jesus walked. Keep in step with the Holy Spirit. Go wherever He leads you, no matter how unexpected the destination may be. We will never forget the year God sent you to our home!

Praying with Passion

“LORD, OPEN THE HEAVENS” (ISAIAH 64:1) - “Oh that you would rend the heavens and come down, that the mountains might quake at your presence.” If you want to see God move in the life of an individual you are praying for, invite God’s power and strength to go before you.

“LORD, OPEN HEARTS” (ACTS 16:13-14) - “The Lord opened her heart to pay attention to what was said by Paul.” If you want to see God to transform people’s lives, pray that he opens the hearts to the good news of Jesus.

“LORD, OPEN HOMES” (JOHN 4:39) - “Many Samaritans from that town believed in him because of the woman’s testimony.” Throughout the New Testament, whole households would come to faith. If you want to see God transform this community, pray that “every person in every house experience Jesus in a personal and profound way.”

“LORD, OPEN HIGHWAYS” (ISAIAH 40:3) - “A voice cries: ‘in the wilderness prepare the way of the LORD; make straight in the desert a highway for our God.’” If you want to see God’s Word spread quickly, pray for God to remove barriers to the gospel and make a highway to share the good news.

“LORD, OPEN HANDS” (MATT 9:37-38) - “Therefore pray earnestly to the Lord of the harvest to send out laborers into his harvest.” Jesus is asking us to pray to the Father to send new partners in sharing the good news through the individuals we are praying for.

We Begin with Confident Prayer

“This is the confidence we have in approaching God: that if we ask anything according to his will, he hears us. And if we know that he hears us—whatever we ask—we know that we have what we asked of him.” 1 John 5:14-15

We believe that God answers prayers. We believe that if we pray big, bold prayers, that God will answer in a mighty way. Jesus said, “If you believe, you will receive whatever you ask for in prayer.” Matthew 21:22.

We Partner with God

As you walk the streets of Utah, you are partnering with God. You partner with the Father whose will is that none should perish, you are partnering with Jesus who called you to follow him on his mission, and you are partnering with the Holy Spirit who works in people’s hearts supernaturally.
